Dunvalanree in Carradale

Dunvalanree, a small non-smoking hotel in Carradale on the Mull of Kintyre, is an ideal centre to explore places like Gigha, Machrihanish and Campbeltown, following in the footsteps of kings and saints and Viking warriors as well as further afield the coasts and islands of Argyll.

Dunvalanree’s licensed restaurant use of local sea food and farm produce has been recognised by the award of an AA Rosette and a Silver EatScotland award and the restaurant is featured in the Good Food Guide. Dunvalanree is a founding member of the SeaFood Trail as featured on TV. After dinner enjoy a Springbank whisky and fall asleep to the sound of the sea.

Dunvalanree was built in 1938 and was upgraded in 1999 to four star. Most rooms, all individually decorated, enjoy panoramic sea views. We are often complimented by our attention to detail.

Standing in delightful gardens on the edge of Port Righ Bay, Dunvalanree enjoys splendid views over Kilbrannan Sound, to the Isle of Arran, and around Carradale Bay and Forest and, of the ocean lapping on the overlooked beach.

Have a look our guestbook to see what some of our previous visitors thought. If you are staying locally come to Dunvalanree for dinner.
